The rest of this site is a map. This is what it looks like when we walk it together.

A good GP doesn't personally perform every surgery — they know you, see the whole picture, handle what's theirs to handle, and know exactly who to bring in for the rest. That's the role I want to play in your financial life: the first person you call for anything money-related, and the one who makes sure nothing important falls through the cracks. (You can read how I ended up here, if you'd like the longer story.)

01 What I do myself

Two things, done properly: your portfolio and your protection

These are my own craft — the areas I go deep on and take direct responsibility for. Your safe money and your growth money are two halves of one managed portfolio; your cover is insurance, right-sized and sourced for value, not commission.

01

Protection, sourced for you

Right-sized cover for your real gaps — and the legwork of comparing best-value across providers, so you're not over-insured or sold the highest-commission product. The heavy lifting, done for you.

02

Safe money that keeps pace

Your emergency fund and near-term savings shouldn't be losing to inflation in a current account, or locked away in a fixed deposit. I help you keep that money liquid and working — accessible when you need it, aiming to keep pace with inflation.

03

Growth money, managed for the long haul

A portfolio built to capture long-term growth while cushioning the worst of the volatility — so you can stay invested through the moments that tempt everyone else to sell. The 'can you sleep at night?' standard.

The point of one person across all three is that they don't pull against each other. Your protection, your safe money and your growth money are parts of a single plan — not three products sold by three people who never speak.

02 Why I sit where I sit

One chair, with the whole market behind it

I chose this position deliberately: investment portfolio manager and insurance broker in the same person. The reason is structural — advice can only ever be as good as the shelf behind it, and an adviser tied to one company can only recommend what's in that building. Sitting where I sit, through my firm’s platform and its arrangements across the insurers on its panel, the shelf is a broad one — and I'll tell you where its edges are rather than pretend it has none:

One personacross your whole picturePortfolio managerthe growth engine, managedWide fund universe — global funds & portfoliosBuilt to your seasons, not a model shelfRebalanced & watched, so you don't have toSafe money kept liquid & workingInsurance brokerprotection, comparedTerm, CI & disability — across insurersShield plans & riders, priced to 85Best value wins — no house brand to pushClaims run for you when life happensBoth wings answer to the same question:"is this right for you?"Broad reach via my firm's platform and multi-insurer arrangements
Why this matters to you

When the person recommending can choose from the whole market, "best for you" and "what I can sell" stop being different lists. It's the structural version of sitting on your side of the table — the comparison shopping is built into the chair.

03 Everything else

Whatever the money question, I probably know the person

Your financial life doesn't stop at portfolios and insurance — and I'd never pretend to be the expert on all of it. What I am is your single point of contact. Over the years I've built a bench of specialists I trust and work with directly — and you don't get handed off to a stranger: I make the introduction, and I stay in the conversation.

When you need…I bring in
General insurance — the everyday coversTravel, home & fire, personal accident, motor, pet, and helper insurance — specialists across the general insurers, compared the same way I compare everything
Professional indemnity & business coverCommercial and liability specialists — for doctors, agents, founders, and anyone whose work carries exposure; plus keyman cover and employee benefits
Wills & estate planningEstate-planning lawyers and trust specialists — wills, trusts, LPAs and probate, done properly
Debt, loans & mortgagesMortgage brokers and lenders, to structure or refinance borrowing on the right terms
Tax & accountingAccountants and tax advisers, when your situation gets more layered
Health, when it's seriousPrivate medical concierge — specialist appointments and second opinions, activated the day you need them
Legal mattersLawyers I trust, for the things that need a proper legal hand
Why this matters

Most people end up with a drawer full of disconnected products and no one holding the whole picture. The value of a GP isn't doing everything — it's making sure everything fits together, and that you always have one person to call who knows your situation.

04 How the years actually go

Protection once. Touchpoints forever.

A conviction that shapes everything I set up: the architecture of your protection should be built once, while you're young and healthy. Premiums are at their cheapest, every door is open, and we lock your plans in at the pink of health — before any condition can write itself into the fine print as an exclusion or a loading. Waiting is the expensive strategy; insurability is the one asset that only depreciates.

After that, working together isn't about buying things — the buying is mostly done. It's a rhythm of regular touchpoints: a yearly look at the whole board, and a conversation at every milestone — the wedding, the flat, each child, the career moves — where cover steps up or trims to fit, the portfolio shifts with your seasons, and we keep asking the only question that matters:

Not "what should we buy next?" — but "what is the money for, this season, and is it enabling the life you're choosing?"

05 The posture

On your side of the table

I'm here to carry the weight of the financial complexity so you can get back to your life — sitting on your side of the table, doing the unglamorous homework, and telling you the truth even when the truth is "do nothing, you already hold a good deal." And my deeper aim is that you end up understanding your own money as well as I do, or better; the goal isn't to keep you dependent, it's to leave you empowered.

My promise

The same candour that runs through this whole site runs through how I work. Trust and transparency first; the relationship is the point, not the transaction.

06 How it works

What to expect

StepWhat happens
1. A conversationWe talk about the life you're building — before a single number comes up.
2. A clear pictureI lay out where you actually stand — the gaps, the strengths, the things quietly costing you.
3. A plan, only if it helpsIf there's something worth doing — by me or by a specialist I bring in — I explain it in plain English, with every cost and trade-off on the table. If there isn't, I'll tell you that too.
4. Journeying togetherI'm a co-pilot for the long haul — through the milestones and the market wobbles — not a one-time transaction.

07 The part most people don't ask

How I'm paid

You should always know how the person advising you makes their money — it's the best way to understand their incentives. So ask me directly, and I'll tell you plainly and in full, before you commit to anything.

Three questions to ask anyone — including me

How are you paid for this recommendation? What does it cost me per year, over its whole life? And what's the simplest option for my situation? If those answers aren't clear and unhurried, that tells you something worth knowing.

If it feels right

Start with a conversation

No obligation — just an honest, unhurried look at your own season. If reading this site is all you ever do, that's a good outcome too. But if you'd like a partner on your side, I'd be glad to talk — and that goes for the people you love too.

Whenever you're ready. A message is just a message — it doesn't commit you to anything.
